LASIK Eye Surgery Problems - What Can Go Wrong?

You know I’ve mostly focused on the benefits of LASIK in this blog, but I would be doing you a disservice if I didn’t also tell you about the potential problems that can happen with LASIK eye surgery.

And the thing is with LASIK (and any eye surgery really) when there are problems, they can be BIG problems:

Constant Burning Sensation

It happens with some people! Fortunately the irritation can be treated with over-the-counter eye drops, in most cases.

Loss of sight!

Faulty or dirty equipment or a minor mistake by the LASIK surgeon and whamo… Instead of near-perfect vision, you might lose some vision or in the worst case: not be able to see in that eye - ever again! Serious stuff here, just take a look at what happened to Kathy Griffin a few years ago.

So the gist of this message is to make sure you do your research when scoping out a LASIK surgery doctor.
