What Happens During Cataract Eye Surgery?
Even though cataract eye surgery can take place outside of a normal hospital these days, and it is one of the most successful operations you could have, it is still eye surgery!
So what happens is:
1. Your eye is frozen and held open.
2. A cut is made at the edge of your cornea.
3. The doctors use ultra-sound or lasers to break up the clouded lens.
4. Then a new artificial lens is put in to replace your old cataract lens.
So that in-a-nutshell is what happens during cataract eye surgery.
Hope this helps!
Have a super day!
